Frosty Club HVAC Membership Benefits

By Omar Jacobo, Licensed HVAC Technician (EPA 608 #2396328)

Why Did You Create the Frosty Club?

The Frosty Club exists to break a single failure pattern: homeowners who skip maintenance for 3–4 years, then call us in panic when the AC dies in mid-July. By that point, what could have been an $85 tune-up that found a weak capacitor has become a $500+ emergency repair — or a $3,500+ compressor replacement. Membership makes preventive service automatic, so weak parts get caught at $500, not $3,500.

In my 8+ years running Frosty's HVAC across Farmers Branch, Coppell, Irving, and our other DFW service cities, the same failure curve hits every July. EPA 608 Universal certified (#2396328), license TACLA126718E. The Club's job is to make sure the cheap diagnostic window — the $85 tune-up that catches a weak capacitor — never silently closes on you.

The Frosty Club is designed to break that cycle. It makes preventive maintenance easy, affordable, and automatic — so your system stays healthy and you avoid expensive surprises.

What's Included in the Frosty Club Membership Tiers?

We offer two membership tiers: Basic ($99/year) gives you 10% off any repair and priority scheduling. Premium ($300/year) is our best value — here's everything it includes:

Two Comprehensive Tune-Ups Per Year

You get a full AC tune-up in spring and a full heating tune-up in fall. These aren't quick drive-by inspections — our technicians spend 60–90 minutes on each visit performing a detailed multi-point inspection, cleaning, and calibration of your entire system.

The AC tune-up includes:

  • Cleaning condenser and evaporator coils
  • Checking and adjusting refrigerant charge
  • Testing capacitors, contactors, and electrical connections
  • Flushing the condensate drain line
  • Checking and calibrating the thermostat
  • Inspecting ductwork connections and airflow
  • Replacing the air filter (standard sizes)

The heating tune-up includes:

If we were to price these tune-ups individually, they'd run $85–$149 each. The Frosty Club Premium covers both for $300, plus all the other benefits below.

Repair Savings

Basic members get 10% off any repair. Premium members get $500 off any repair, PLUS 15% off parts. On a $750 repair, Premium saves you $500 instantly. Most Premium members who need even one repair save more than the cost of the membership.

Priority Scheduling

This is the benefit I'm most proud of because it matters most when you need it most. When it's 105°F in July and every HVAC company in the area is booked for three days, Frosty Club members go to the front of the line. I've had members get same-day service on days when non-members were waiting 2–3 days. When your family's comfort is on the line, skipping the queue is priceless.

No Overtime Charges

Need a technician on Saturday? Sunday? After 6pm on a weeknight? As a Frosty Club member, you pay the same rate as a regular business-hours appointment. Non-members typically pay 1.5x for after-hours and weekend service. If you've ever had your heater go out on a Saturday night in January, you know how valuable this benefit is.

Transferable Membership

Selling your home? Transfer your Frosty Club membership to the new owner as a bonus. Home buyers love knowing the HVAC system has been professionally maintained and comes with an active service plan. It's a small perk that can help differentiate your listing in a competitive market.

Does the Frosty Club Math Actually Save Me Money?

Let me be transparent about the numbers for Premium ($300/year):

  • Two tune-ups individually: $170–$298/year
  • $500 off one repair: $500 saved
  • 15% off parts on that repair: $30–$60 saved
  • Overtime charge avoided: $75–$150/year (if you need one after-hours call)

With Premium, a single repair saves you more than the membership cost. Add in two tune-ups and the priority scheduling, and you're getting 2.5x+ return. Basic ($99/year) is great too — 10% off repairs plus priority scheduling means it pays for itself quickly.

Who Is the Frosty Club Best Suited For?

The membership makes sense for nearly every homeowner, but it's especially valuable if:

  • Your HVAC system is 5+ years old (more likely to need repairs)
  • You live in a home built before 2000 (older systems need more attention)
  • You have family members with allergies or respiratory issues (the EPA reports indoor air can be 2–5x more polluted than outdoor air — clean systems mean cleaner air)
  • You want peace of mind that your system is professionally monitored twice a year
  • You don't want to think about scheduling maintenance — we call you when it's time

What Is the Frosty Club NOT Covering?

I want to be honest about what the Frosty Club doesn't cover:

  • It's not a warranty or insurance — major repairs and replacements are still additional costs (though discounted 15%)
  • It doesn't cover duct cleaning, which is a separate service
  • It doesn't lock you in — you can cancel anytime with no fee

How Do I Join the Frosty Club?

Enrolling takes about 5 minutes:

  1. Call us at (469) 254-0548 or ask your technician during any service visit
  2. We set up your membership and schedule your first tune-up
  3. Your membership auto-renews annually — cancel anytime if you're not satisfied

Most homeowners join during a service call after seeing firsthand the kind of thorough, honest work we do. If you've been putting off HVAC maintenance, the Frosty Club is the easiest way to stay on top of it — and save money in the process.
